Leixlip United Under 12's, managed by Robbie Martin, Paul Martin and Ritchie Mackay won the prestigous Galway Cup beating the North Dublin District League 4:1 in the final. Most of the teams in the competition were made up of representative teams from Leagues all over the country. Leixlip scored 25 goals over the 4 day tournament and only conceded 2. They beat the Cavan-Monaghan League (3:1), the Roscommon League (5:0) and Tulla FC (13:0). 10 of the 15 players who went to Galway started in the Leixlip United Academy with Robbie, Paul and Ritchie.
